Ryan Ricks is an emerging film, video game and television composer living in Los Angeles. His versatile, story-driven approach to scoring earned him a BEST SCORE nomination for the dramatic short film “Defining Moments” at the L.A. 48hr Film Festival in November 2017.

He’s composed original music for feature films, video games, television, short films and web-series including a 3 episode mini-series – “Tinderin’ Foster“- starring Erin Foster from VH1’s “Barely Famous.”

In addition to working as a composer, Ryan is also a post production audio engineer specializing in sound editing, music editing, and mixing. Before moving to Los Angeles, he worked as music director and foley artist at the multiple Emmy Award winning Bad Animals (“Portal 2,”¬†Laggies,” National¬†Geographic¬†Channel’s “Alaska State Troopers”).

Ryan’s music can be heard on Travel Channel, NBC Sports Network, Spike TV and other major networks. He is currently collaborating on a new retro platform game, Boneko, to be released later this year.
